DelaWELL Program -- What is Wellness?

"Placing Delaware at the Forefront of Wellness"
Delawell Logo

Wellness

is the dynamic, ever-changing process of trying to achieve one's individual potential in each of the several interrelated health dimensions:

Wellness

refers to one's physical fitness, body size and shape, susceptibility to disease and disorders, and ability to perform normal activities of daily living (ADLs).

Wellness

refers to one's ability to think clearly, reason objectively, and learn from successes and mistakes.

Wellness

refers to one's ability to have satisfying interpersonal relationships and social support.

Wellness

refers to one's ability to express emotions when appropriate, to control when not; includes feelings of self-esteem and self-efficacy.

Wellness

refers to one's perception of and appreciation for his or her surroundings.

You need to attend to all areas of your health to create a balance. It is up to you to take care of your wellness!
