DelaWELL, administered by the Statewide Wellness Office, has teamed up with the Lt. Governor’s Challenge to create a fun and simple way for State of Delaware employees to get moving.
Here is how the challenge works Over a 12-week period, you choose what activities to perform. Click here for a list of activities with corresponding point values. There's no need to invest in expensive equipment or join a gym. Points are earned for every 30 minutes of movement, based on what activities you choose. The more intense the activity, the higher the point value. Participants keep track of their activities, and based on how many points are earned over the 3 months, they may be eligible for a gold, silver or bronze medal. Medal Levels: Bronze Medal: 140 - 239 points Silver Medal: 240 - 339 points Gold Medal: 340 - 500 points You do not need to run a marathon to earn a medal in this program. If you walk briskly 3 times per week for 30 minutes, you can earn a bronze medal. Walking briskly 5 times per week for 30 minutes earns you a silver medal, and if you walk briskly for 60 minutes 4 times per week, you can earn the gold medal. Ready to take the Challenge?
